Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards warned we have two weeks to get a handle on the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, and it's vital that people continue social distancing to minimize the risk of getting sick.
Some cities across the U.S. have ordered residents to shelter-in-place. It hasn't gotten that drastic anywhere in Louisiana, and while the governor said he doesn't want it to come to that, he can't rule it out.
"Hopefully it will not be necessary," said Edwards when asked about it during today's media briefing. "It may be necessary to do that in certain localities."
