New York City's iconic Empire State Building will light up in gold and black tonight, the colors of the College Football Playoff, during tonight's title tilt between LSU and Clemson.
The game kicks off at 7:15 p.m. It's the sixth title game since the College Football Playoff system began. It's LSU's first time playing for a championship in this format. Defending champions Clemson will be playing in their fourth title game.
After the game, WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge reports the skyscraper will light up in the colors of the winning team for the rest of the night.
