Crews have been restoring power to thousands of customers in the New Orleans area after strong winds blew through the region.
As of 10:15pm, Entergy estimated about 3,000 outages in Jefferson Parish and New Orleans.
"Due to severe thunderstorms we are experiencing several outages in your area," the utility posted. "Our crews are working hard to restore power as soon as possible. We expect to have all power restored by June 29th 8am."
The gust front knocked down trees, limbs, power lines and some poles.
