Entergy New Orleans' proposed new power plant in New Orleans is moving forward, but the New Orleans City Council utilities committee will put some conditions on it, in the wake of the astroturfing scandal.

A lot of residents who opposed the plant from the get-go have demanded that Entergy and the New Orleans City Council start over from square one. Political analyst Clancy DuBos says that's not going to happen.

Members of the committee also say the five million from Entergy should be used to help improve the electric power situation at the Sewerage and Water Board.

The council utilities committee meets at 10:00 a.m. at New Orleans City Hall. The full council will vote on today's action next Thursday, February 21.
