— NOPD (@NOPDNews) May 30, 2019Police say they had reports shortly before the wreck of a motorcyclist driving erratically on I-610 east bound.
"After entering I-10 eastbound, the driver attempted to cut between two 18-wheel tractor trailers that were also traveling eastbound on the High Rise," said NOPD spokesman Gary Scheets. "When the driver of the motorcycle attempted to cut between the trucks, he hit one truck, lost control, and was struck by the second truck."
The motorcyclist died there at the scene. Police say the driver of the truck that struck the cyclist stopped and spoke to investigators. The driver of the other truck was not at the scene, but police say it's possible that driver wasn't even aware of what happened.
Police say there are no charges currently pending against either truck driver.
