Louisiana health officials today reported the death toll from COVID-19 increased by 57 in the state.
There are now 1,213 coronavirus deaths in Louisiana.
The number of cases reported jumped by 586 today to a statewide total of 23,118.
The number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals went from 1,914 yesterday to 1,868 today. That's a drop of 46 in 24 hours. The number topped out at 2,134 earlier this week.
Those on ventilators was 396 yesterday. Today it is 363. That is a decrease of 33.
