The cost of Forever stamps is rising, a nickel more beginning Sunday

Get your postage stamps today or tomorrow because the Forever stamps are going up.  If you buy them today, you'll save 5 dollars for 100 stamps.  

Stamps will rise from 50 cents to 55 cents beginning Sunday, according to the Postal Service.  


A 70 plus page report has been released by the Treasury Dept.  on the Postal Service's finances, part of a task force reviews ordered by President Trump.  

The President has publicly bashed deals between the post office and Amazon. 

The 10 percent increase in Forever stamps is the largest price leap since 1991.

Each additional letter ounce will cost an extra 15 cents, which is a decrease from 21 cents.  Consumers cost to mail a 2-ounce stamped letter will actually drop from 71 cents to 70 cents 

The price of a postcard remains the same at 35 cents.  

Last year, the United States Postal Service lost about $3.9 billion, that's more than $1 billion more from the previous year.
