Stanley Burkhardt was arrested Wednesday by state police for failing to register as a sex-offender.
According to NOLA-dot-com Burkhardt's arrest warrant was obtained by a state police detective investigating the deaths of three men between early 1978 and late 1979.
Burkhardt's home was also searched by state police investigators.
Court records say Burkhardt either failed or refused to share his email address and photo sharing account with authorities.
On Monday an Orleans Parish Magistrate approved a warrant for his arrest when it was uncovered the sex offender stamp that was supposed to be on his Louisiana state drivers license was missing.
Burkhardt's bail was set at $10-thousand dollars, he'll appear in court August 21st.
