Our Fat Tuesday started with temps in the 30s feeling like 20s across the region.
"Hopefully everyone's costume isn't quite as revealing this year as temps will struggle to get into the low 50s this afternoon after beginning the day in the 30s on both sides of the Lake!" WWL-TV Meteorologist Chris Franklin said. " Starting the morning with clouds, but clearing out through the late morning and midday hours."
He says we should expect another cold night as festivities wrap up and Ash Wednesday begins.
"Another freeze north of the Lake with mid to upper 30s South. Highs in the upper 50s Ash Wednesday with a gradual warm up into the end of the week and weekend with a return flow from the Gulf. We could see some storms late Saturday as a cold front and disturbance moves in from the west."
