A high pressure gas leak that had a section of Tchoupitoulas Street blocked off Friday afternoon has been secured.
City officials said New Orleans Fire Fighters and Entergy workers were on the scene.
Four blocks of Tchoupitoulas, from Robert to Valence Streets, were closed because of a gas leak. That area is near Napoleon Avenue.
The leak had been secured but portions were still partially closed while crews cleared the area.
