Get ready for a chance for rounds of rain beginning tomorrow and lasting through Mother's Day

Warm, humid temperatures are expected to continue but rain and some higher wind gusts may happen tomorrow.  

"I think tomorrow (Thursday) we'll see some spotty showers that could be heavy," said WWL-TV Meteorologist Alexandra Cranford.   


Rounds of rain will continue through the weekend, including Mother's Day.  

"We may be on the fringes of the really heavy rain," Cranford said. "You may have to dodge the rain for your Mother's Day plans."

THURSDAY:Mostly cloudy, warm and humid with a 40% chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms. A few could be strong to severe. Highs around 86. Wind S 8-15 mph.

FRIDAY:Mostly cloudy, warm and humid with a 60% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 73. Highs around 84. Wind SE 6-12 mph.

SATURDAY:Mostly cloudy, warm and humid with a 60% chance for showers and thunderstorms. Lows around 73. Highs around 84.
