Expect heavy afternoon downpours Friday and through the weekend.
WWLTV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “While rain could be heavy at times, the flooding threat is lower as Laura moves out of the region. It will still be possible for areas of street flooding though.
“Winds will be breezy out of the south at 10-15 mph with higher gusts along the coast and lakefront. A Coastal Flood Advisory continues for all shores until noon Friday. We will finally start to see the higher tides go down throughout Friday,” Malone said.
