Heavy rain today and through July 4th weekend

image

It will be a rainy start to the July 4th weekend. Expect heavy downpours today.

WWL-TV’s Meteorologist Payton Malone says, “Friday will be another warm and humid day, but expect more showers and t-storms throughout the afternoon. Rain will be heavy at times, which could lead to areas of flooding. The severe weather threat is very low, but some gusty winds are possible with a few storms. If you're heading out for fireworks tonight you could see one or two showers, but it looks rain should be winding down later this evening into tonight.”
