The metro New Orleans area is in for more hot, steamy weather this weekend. A possibility of some showers will be in the forecast.
"Our weather pattern starts to change today and that means the humidity is going to go back up," said WWL-TV meteorologist Dave Nussbaum. "I hope you enjoyed the break in the humidity the last few days because it is back to more typical June weather this weekend."
Today it will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the lower 90s. Tonight will be partly cloudy and muggy with lows in the 70s on both sides of the lake.
Saturday, high temperatures will be in the lower 90s and it will feel like the upper 90s as the dew points sit in the lower 70s. The chance of rain will be about 30 percent.
Sunday will be partly cloudy, but the overall coverage of storms will be less. You will still need to plan for a stray shower if you have any Father's Day plans outside. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s and it will feel like the upper 90s.
