Hot weather returns but fewer rain showers for Friday

Heat returns but fewer showers for your Friday.

WWL-TV’s Dave Nussbaum says, “The tropical wave and low have moved west of New Orleans this morning. An area of high pressure will build toward us today and that will keep the chance for rain low. We will only see a few pop-up afternoon showers and storms. It will become hotter and stay humid with highs in the mid-90s and the heat index 105-110. Tonight will be mostly clear and muggy with lows in the 70s north and 80s south.”
