Hot with spotty showers today as a tropical wave moves in to the Gulf of Mexico.
WWL-TV’s Dave Nussbaum says, “A tropical wave is still slowly moving into Texas this morning and taking most of the rain with it. We will have a partly cloudy day with spotty showers and storms. Watch out for some downpours. High temperatures will climb into the lower 90s and the heat index will be around 105°+. Tonight will be partly cloudy and muggy with a few showers. Lows will be in the 70s north and 80s south. Wednesday will have a little better chance for showers and storms as another tropical wave moves into the central Gulf of Mexico. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s.”
