Now we know why the Rolling Stones had to cancel their appearance at Jazz Fest and other scheduled shows on their 2019 tour.
According to reports, Mick Jagger will have heart valve replacement surgery in New York. His doctor said no more performances for now.
Refunds and possible replacements are being discussed and Advocate music writer Keith Spera is confident.
''I'm sure they're going to book some good band to fill in that slot, but it's going to be more like a normal day at Jazz Fest as opposed to the premium Rolling Stones day,'' said Spera.
Thousands waited in long lines for those precious tickets and Spera says its going to be a challenge but the folks at Jazz Fest will do their best.
''They are good at doing this and I'm sure they will come up with a possible solution,'' Spear said.
Unfortunately, he says we may never get this opportunity again.
