First convictions in child sex trafficking case

Two men are heading to prison, a third is going free as the first convictions in a child-sex prostitution operation in Jefferson Parish.  

Kenner resident Earl Norman accepted a guilty plea of racketerring and was sentenced to 15-years.  Damien Holland, from Chicago, got 10-years for his guilty plea.  A third defendent, Kent Hurn of Gretna, who testified against his cohorts plead guilty and sentenced to time served.  

Two other defendents, Taylor Rodrigue of Metairie and Melissa Jordan from North Carolina also face racketerring charges.  According to the Times-Picayune/Advocate story Rodrigue is the one who recruited the under-age girl off Instagram and also plied her with drugs and alcohol while she worked out of a motel in Harvey.  

Both have plead guilty to pandering charges with Jordan being handed a five year prison sentence while Rodrigue has yet to know her fate.  

A sixth defendent, Darren Bickham, has yet to be tried in the case.
