A girl at school in Lafourche Parish told authorities that a man was raping her.
It has led to charges.
"Sheriff Craig Webre and Golden Meadow Chief of Police Michelle Lafont announced the arrest of a Golden Meadow man for four counts of first degree rape. Randy Delatte, 40, was arrested early Wednesday morning," LPSO said in a news release.
Police say the investigation began last month.
"An LPSO school resource officer assigned to a Golden Meadow school learned a juvenile at the school had allegedly been molested by an adult male in her neighborhood, later identified as Delatte."
Investigators say they learned that Delatte allegedly had sexual contact with the girl in four separate locations.
"Delatte was arrested and booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex early Wednesday morning, September 2, 2026. He was charged with four counts of first degree rape. Bail is set at $1 million."
Now police want to know if there are other victims.
