Krewe du Vieux announced hours before tonight's parade that its after-party switched locations to the Joy Theater at 1200 Canal St.
"KdV is forced to change the location of our venue due to permitting problems," the organization posted on its Facebook page. "All tickets will be honored. For Krewe members, bus transportation the the Joy will be provided from the end of the parade route."
The parade said it was due to a permitting problem involving their original venue, 2931 Royal Street. City officials say fire marshalls determined that the building was not safe to host the event.
