The Louisiana State Fire Marshal suspends bar permits of four bars for allegedly violating COVID-19 restrictions.

A State Fire Marshal statement says Alcohol and Tobacco Control suspended the liquor licenses of the Sand Dollar Tiki Bar in Grand Isle, Frosty Factory in Lake Charles, Pelican Pub in Gonzales and Wo-de’s Chill Spot in Harvey.

A statement from the fire marshal said the bars were shut down for multiple complaints of large crowds and serving drinks to crowds of people, violating the state’s coronavirus restrictions.

Hearings for the bar owners to appeal the suspension is set for August 5 and 6. The bars could face a suspension period up to 30 days.
