What a difference a couple of hours make!

Lights On!

Spot showers are all that's left of a strong Gulf storm that moved through the region this morning.

The storm knocked out power to more than 11-thousand Entergy customers at its peak.

That outage was between I-10 and the river and fanned out along Causeway Boulevard.

Entergy was ready with 1700 members deployed across the area to answer the outages and get the lights back on.

Meanwhile, the Northshore appears to have faired better with Cleco Reporting a series of spot outages number 50-or less in neighborhoods of Mandeville and Covington.

In New Orleans, the Sewerage and Water Board reported last night they were ready for the rainfall:

All drainage pumps are available for use and we have enough power to run our drainage system. Please stay weather aware and call 911 to report any street flooding.

The storm has moved east and an earlier tornado watch has been cancelled.
