For the first time since 2010, the LSU/Alabama showdown on the gridiron won't be aired in primetime by CBS. CBS announced today that it will only broadcast one game on Saturday, Nov. 9, and that kickoff will be at 2:30 Central Time.
That's the day the Fighting Tigers are scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa.
The Tiffany Network has featured the annual SEC West battle on a Saturday night since 2011. Coincidentally, that was the last time LSU beat the Crimson Tide.
LSU and Alabama could end up as the featured afternoon game on CBS, or they could be featured as a primetime game on ESPN. Since both teams are perennial contenders in the SEC West and usually ranked highly in the AP college football poll when they meet, it's a safe bet that the game will be televised.
