LSU may have clinched the best men's basketball record in the Southeastern Conference, but The Advocate reports Will Wade won't be collecting his $50,000 bonuse -- at least, not until more information comes about a phone conversation reportedly recorded by the FBI. Yahoo! Sports reports that conversation may have involved the recruiting of LSU freshman guard Javonte Smart.
Wade declined to meet with school officials to talk about the conversation, resulting in the suspension.
The coach will continue to receive his base salary, but other bonuses related to post-season play will also remain on hold during the post-season as long as Wade remains on indefinite suspension.
