Texas-sized party for Fighting Tigers fans

The Tigers are taking over Texas Longhorn country! Fans are headed west for the LSU/Texas game tomorrow.

Austin is legendary for its live music and barbecue, so of course LSU fans will be all over that.

"Doors open at 11 at Stubb's, which is a handful of blocks from the stadium, and we'll have live music there," said LSU Alumni Association COO Steve Helmke. "We encourage all of our Tiger alumni and Tiger fans to come join us before the game."

Helmke says even though tickets to get into Darrell K. Royal - Texas Memorial Stadium are as hard to find as a Texan who's humble about his home state, lot of people will be wearing purple and gold and just hanging out to party and catch the game on TV.

"We've heard from Alumni all over Louisiana, Texas, and the surrounding states," said Helmke. "There's a lot of folks coming in, some to have a seat in the game, and some to spend a good time in Austin and watch it in the various venues around town."

The game is the only meeting of Top 10 teams this weekend, and it kicks off at 6:30 p.m. You can hear it here on your home for the LSU Fighting Tigers: WWL.
