Man booked in triple homicide in Jefferson Parish

 

The man taken into custody on a triple homicide that happened in Terrytown, has now been booked on murder charges according to jail records from Jefferson Parish.  

Jail records also show the man booked with the murder of 2 children and 1 adult is 33-year-old Terrance Leonard.  

He was booked on three counts of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted first-degree murder. He was also booked on obstruction of justice charges and an attachment for an outstanding warrant.

Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joseph Lopinto announced Wednesday that a man was taken into custody after confessing to killing a woman, two children and critically injuring two other children.

Lopinto did not identify the man taken into custody Wednesday.   press conference has been scheduled for Thursday to release new details to the public.

Lopinto called it a gruesome scene, but said it's a scene that needed to be processed all day.
