A massive power outage in Metairie and Kenner had residents sweating it out in the extreme heat.
The outage was affecting residents in Kenner south of I-10 to River Ridge and east of the airport to Transcontinental drive in Metairie.
According to Entergy’s outage map, more than 19,000 Entergy customers were without power From before 9:00am until after 11:00am as a heat advisory was in effect.
