Mayor LaToya Cantrell, speaking in an interview with the British Broadcasting Company (BBC) on the COVID-19 crisis, she commented on the unrest in the country over the death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis Police.
In response to a question from the BBC Anchor “Being an African American woman who has felt the sting of oppression, and very much tired of this happening over & over & over again, in the black community to black people, in particularly black men. We’re tired of it. Why does the black man always have to die?”
