LSU linebacker Michael Divinity Jr. was back on LSU’s practice field Monday and his teammates said the senior couldn’t contain his joy.
“Mike looked so happy today at practice,” defensive back JaCoby Stevens said. “He enjoyed being back.”
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron announced prior to the Tigers matchup with Alabama that Divinity left the team for “personal reasons.”
Divinity later posted a statement to his social media accounts confirming his departure from the team. Orgeron, however, said the Tigers wouldn’t close the door on the linebackers potential return to the team and it appears the linebacker is now back with the LSU although his status for Saturday’s matchup with the Arkansas Razorbacks is uncertain.
Prior to his departure from the team, Divinity played in five games and tallied three sacks to go along with 23 tackles, including four for a loss and a forced fumble.
