When LSU plays Clemson this week, don’t look for Mike the Tiger to be in the dome. He will be chilling in his sanctuary on the LSU campus.
But Mike has his game day ritual, even if he won’t be at the game. Ginger Guttner, Communications director of the LSU school of Veterinary Medicine, says ”his veterinary student caretakers will take his dinner, which looks like hamburger but actually isn’t, and fashion it into the opposing team’s logo. Then they take pictures of Mike devouring it.”
The pictures are posted on Mike’s social media pages. So far, it’s provided some very good Tiger mojo, and has become quite popular among Mike’s fans and followers.
Mike will be in his yard all day (weather permitting), beginning around 7:00 a.m., so LSU fans who want to go get some real tiger luck, can go by and say hello to Mike.
