The State of Louisiana today reported more than 1,500 new COVID cases, but noted that nearly 700 are backlogged from more than a month ago.
Health officials say 821 of the cases are new.
Coronavirus deaths in the state increased today by 15.
Hospitalizations dropped by 17.
The weekly estimate of recoveries is up 6,008 at 140,440. That leaves about 9,500 active cases, which is about 1,000 fewer than last week.
