Does going through security, fighting crowds, waiting to board a plane and all of the other stresses at the airport get you a bit on edge?
Perhaps a visit from a friendly dog will help.
The airport is celebrating one year of a program that aims to make people feel better through the use of man's best friend.
"Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) will mark the 1 year anniversary of its pet therapy program with a special celebration and cupcakes for the four-legged members of the MSY K-9 Krewe," officials said in a news release.
The announcement of the event says that the Airport partners with local non-profit, Visiting Pet Program.
The goal is "to provide canine therapy to passengers traveling through MSY, which helps reduce stress and improve the passenger experience."
A total of 13 dogs and their human companions have provided over 725 hours of volunteer service at the airport.
