New Orleans Police have arrested a 13-year-old who was wearing an ankle monitor and a 16-year-old for a rash of car thefts and other crimes, WWL-TV reports. And the report says more teens are suspected of taking part.

"We had a juvenile who had committed some auto thefts with a group of individuals who have been committing auto thefts and auto burglaries, citywide," NOPD Second District Commander Jeff Walls told the TV station.

According to the report, the 13-year-old and a 16-year-old were arrested today in Hollygrove, but the crimes they are suspected of committing happened across the city.

Walls said the pair and several other teenagers are suspected of stealing vehicles from the parking lot of a downtown hotel, the Hilton Riverside. And WWL-TV reports they're suspected in similar crimes in the French Quarter and elsewhere in the CBD.

More arrests are expected.
