New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Village de L'Est.
Police say shortly after 12:00 a.m. Friday, officers were sent to investigate a call of a man shot in the 14100 block of Michoud Boulevard.
"Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim lying on the ground and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds," said police in a statement. "The victim was pronounced dead at the scene."
