New Orleans police say they’ve arrested 34-year old Azemore Joseph in connection with Monday’s (Jan. 20) homicide in the 1600 block of Treasure Street, near the Fairgrounds.
They say, about 8:05 p.m., NOPD Third District officers responded a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. When they arrived, officers found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was later identified by the Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office as Lloyd Vanderhorst.
An arrest warrant was obtained, and Joseph was arrested last Friday (Jan. 24). He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for one count of second degree murder.
