New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in the 400 block of South Genois Street.
Police say shortly before 9:30 p.m. today, officers were sent to investigate a call of two men shot in that location.
"Initial reports show two male victims sustaining apparent gunshot wounds," said police in a statement. "One of the victims, who was transported to an area hospital via private conveyance, has died."
