
What was Tropical Storm Olga making landfall in Southwest Louisiana brought high winds and squally rains to the New Orleans area into the early morning hours.
The National Weather Service says wind gusts were 60 miles per hour in the region.
Entergy reported nearly 86,000 outages. and CLECO had statwied outages around 28,000 with almost all of those is St. Tammany Parish. Washington/St.Tammany had more than 9,000 customers out in St. Tammany.
Armstrong International Airport was among Entergy customers hit with a power outage. Power was out at the airport for several hours Saturday morning before being restored shortly after 10 a.m. A second outage was reported just before noon Saturday. A number of flights have been cancelled or delayed.

"A colder and drier airmass is also expected to move into the area through the day... with rain ending from west to east," The National Weather Service in Slidell said for Saturday.
