New Orleans Police say it's too early to tell if two shooting deaths at the same location in less than a week are related.
Both happened in just six days, underneath the I-10 overpass on Claiborne Avenue and Canal Street.
The most recent fatal shooting left one man dead overnight Saturday.
He was found face down under the overpass, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and body. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
That incident is believed to have occurred about 4:30 a.m., just feet from where another man was killed last Sunday morning.
According to police, the area is populated with a number of homeless people, many of who suffer from substance abuse and mental health issues.
