New Orleans Police say gunfire rang out Sunday night on South Lopez Street off of Tulane Avenue.
This all happened about 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening. Police say when officers arrived they found four victims suffering form gunshot wounds one victim was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.
"The NOPD is investigating a homicide and shooting in the 600 block of South Lopez Street," Public Information Officer Danielle Miller said in a news release.
"One of the victims is listed in critical condition and the other two victims are listed in stable condition," the news released said.
There were not a lot of details into the motive for the fatal shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
