Tropical moisture is surging our way and will be bringing us rain for a few days, according to the local weather experts in the WWL-TV forecast center. Rain chances jump to 80 percent for tomorrow.
"Our rainier pattern has begun," said meteorologist Alexandra Cranford. "We're expecting rain, maybe a few showers as early as the morning, and then through the day we'll continue with a chance for some more scattered pockets of rain, a couple of heavy downpours possible."
She said rain amounts will be about two to four inches. New Orleans officials have announced residents can park their cars on neutral grounds and sidewalks if necessary.

Main concern will be near the Atchafalaya where ground is saturated, or if any other areas start to see multiple rounds of rain in quick succession. #lawx #mswx pic.twitter.com/xiRJmNptAr
