The Krewe of Bacchus hosts its first legacy monarch with Robin Thicke when it rolls on Sunday.
Robin Thicke will arrive today as reigning King Bacchus, and Krewe Captain Clark Brennan says Thicke was actually a Bacchus “Page” in 1998 when his father, Alan Thicke, reigned as King.
“This is the first time in history that we had a legacy king,” said Brennan. “So, I think it’s a great thing. I’ve spoken to Robin about it and he is really embracing it and his dad meant so much to him.”
Brennan adds “This year we have a commemorative doubloon with both of their kings on the back of the doubloon. So I think that will be a big prize this year.”
