The New Orleans Saints officially announced Friday that their four scheduled preseason games would be canceled "following discussions and resolutions between the NFL and the NFLPA."
The Saints were originally scheduled to face the Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers and Miami Dolphins in the 2020 preseason.
The team announced that season ticket holders will have the opportunity either to receive a refund or to apply payments as a credit toward next year’s season tickets, regarding the two matchups that were originally set to take place in the Superdome. The team added that representatives will follow up with season ticket holders with more information at a later date.
New Orleans also reiterated that training camp will be closed to fans due to COVID-19 safety precautions.
Regarding the regular season, the Saints have not announced whether or not fans will be in attendance this season but said if fans do attend games, the NFL has mandated they wear face coverings.
