Sally forecast stays east of Louisiana for now

Tropics

The National Hurricane Center this morning is continuing to forecast the eye of what is expected to become Hurricane Sally to make landfall in coastal Mississippi.

If the current forecast track holds, the worst of the weather will be in Mississippi, Alabama and into the Florida panhandle.

That's where the bulk of the rain would fall and the flooding would be expected.

Any shift to the west would be worse for Southeast Louisiana.
