A few severe storms roll in Friday evening but this will bring cooler and beautiful weather for Mother’s Day weekend.

WWL-TV’s Meteorologist Dave Nussbaum says, “Friday will start nice, but will be warmer and more humid. Winds will be breezy out of the south gusting over 30 mph at times. A broken line of showers and t-storms is expected to move into the area Friday afternoon and into the evening. There is a low threat for severe t-storms from about 4 PM - 10 PM. The main threat will be for damaging winds up to 60 mph, but isolated hail and a few spin up tornadoes remain possible.”

⚠️ Heads Up! Watch out for strong to possibly #severe storms late on Friday into Friday night! https://t.co/i6cBoBUo7A
