High winds, hail and some tornadoes are possible Saturday morning across Southeast Louisiana.
"It appears that between 9:00am and noon a squall line will be racing through the region," WWL TV Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin said. "It'll be the squall line that has the potential to produce damaging winds in excess of 60-70 mph."
He adds that funnel clouds could form.
"Any lone thunderstorm cells which develop ahead of the squall line have the potential to produce a tornado."
Franklin says the region is under an enhanced Risk of severe weather.
Some areas could see up to two inches of rain.
"Once the cold front moves through, cooler air will risk in Saturday afternoon and evening."
