A shooting on the I-10 closed the High-Rise bridge over the Industrial Canal during afternoon rush-hour traffic.
"NOPD was notified of a male victim driving on I-10 West suffering multiple gunshot wounds," said New Orleans Police Public Information Officer Aaron Looney. "The victim was transported via EMS to an area hospital for treatment."
Police closed the west-bound lanes while they investigated.
