It’s another unprecedented slap to the face of New Orleans Saints fans.

Veteran signal caller Drew Brees — currently the record holder for passing yards, passing touchdowns, pass completions and many others — is not on the NFL’s All Time Team.

According to the Times-Picayune/New Orleans Advocate, a 26-member panel of team executives, coaches, former players and media made the selections.

Since the league is celebrating it's 100th year, the list encompasses greats of the NFL's past, like Sammy Baugh, Otto Graham, Johnny Unitas, and the recent past, like Brett Favre.

The NFL was quick with a consolation excuse saying more current quarterbacks will be able to earn the honor as time goes by.

  • Sammy Baugh
  • Tom Brady
  • John Elway
  • Brett Favre
  • Otto Graham
  • Peyton Manning
  • Dan Marino
  • Joe Montana
  • Roger Staubach
  • Johnny Unitas

If it’s any consolation, four-time Super Bowl champion quarterback Terry Bradshaw of the Pittsburgh Steelers isn’t on the list.

Neither is New York Jet and Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Namath, who famously predicted a Super Bowl III win, then went out and did it.
