48 new deaths have been recorded.
The numbers are not without some positives.
There are 43 less people hospitalized with 13 less on ventilators.
Locally, all bars closed on Saturday as part of the efforts by New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell to bring the spread of COVID-19 under control in hopes of opening in-person schooling in the coming weeks.
