The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to take up the case of convicted child molester and murder, Ricky Langley.
Langley confessed to the 1992 abduction, molestation and murder of a 6-year-old boy from Iowa, LA.
The Defendant was initially convicted and sentenced to death.
WWL-TV reports despite being tried three times, the first two cases were overturned due to racial and judicial misconduct, Langley’s defense attorney sought to have the third case thrown out as it violated the 5th Amendment’s double jeopardy statute.
The U.S. Appellate Court ruled the third trial, which upheld his conviction of second degree murder and life in prison, was legal and the finding stands.
