The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office says it has identified the suspect in a Memorial Day Weekend homicide on the I-10 service road in Metairie.
The U.S. Marshals Service arrested 33-year-old Maurice Leach in Trenton, New Jersey on May 30. He is accused of fatally shooting Michael Brown on May 25 in the 4500 block of S. I-10 Service Road in Metairie.
"Through our investigation, Leach was identified as the person believed to have shot Brown to death," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "He remains in custody in New Jersey pending extradition to Jefferson Parish."
